Learning for understanding and unity
Dunkirk Adult Learning Centre is committed to promoting and enabling learning to bring understanding and unity into people’s lives and society. We are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation that works with and for refugees. We have a learning centre in La Linière refugee camp at Grande-Synthe, Dunkirk, where the emphasis is on teaching relevant French and English language skills and on sharing understanding of different cultures and experiences.
The school is a key for me and my friends to be educated in the English language.
We learn how to shop. We learn how to make friends. We learn how to travel.
The camp is not too bad. School helps, especially the teachers.
It is good to talk and understand my new friends. It helps to know about the people around me and not be isolated.
